What I appreciate most is the shift away from framing behaviour as something to be “fixed” in pupils, towards seeing it as an outcome of whether people feel noticed, valued, and able to contribute meaningfully. When mattering is missing, boundaries become brittle; when it’s present, consistency and repair become possible without constant escalation. This feels like an essential lens for leaders who are trying to hold both care and clarity — and who know that pressure alone isn’t a strategy for long-term change.
